About Us

Tommy Knight and Alex Parlos founded Veros Systems in College Station, Texas. In 2006, Veros secured an exclusive worldwide license from Texas A&M University to commercialize technology developed by Dr. Parlos. Soon, Veros began product development and testing for different industrial applications. In 2013, Veros received venture-capital funding from Austin Ventures, Live Oak Venture Partners, and Chevron Technology Ventures. This investment came on the heels of a multi-year, multi-site technical evaluation at Chevron. Shell Technology Ventures joined the existing investors in a follow-on funding in 2014.

“Veros Foresight can identify problems before they pose catastrophic threats. In one case, we trusted Foresight’s indicators that all was well, despite repeated warnings from monthly vibration checks. Using real-time information from Foresight, we reallocated our compression loads among multiple machines in each of two stages. As a result the “questionable” machine was running well 18 months later. This resulted in savings of over $100,000 by avoiding unnecessary repairs.”

John Warne, EOR Facilities, Chaparral Energy

“Since the installation of the Veros System, I have had instant access to a host of motor performance issues. This system has given us a hands off approach and everything we would need to evaluate issues within the driving equipment such as overloading,  voltage imbalance and vibration to name a few. Before we had this system, we would have to physically gather all this data which is very intrusive and unsafe while in service (Not a good option). There were times when we would have to take the equipment out of service to perform testing and determine where and what the problems were and the uncertainty as to where the actual problem resides i.e. motor, pump or fan. With the Veros System we have 7-24 continuous monitoring capabilities, it will indicate whether the problem lies in the driving or driven equipment,  we can plan and schedule ahead for equipment outages and have all we need staged and available to repair or replace equipment if needed and return the equipment back to operations in the shortest amount of time. This system has allowed us to plug some of the holes that are inherit in all PdM programs.”
